What are the Average views?

The average views per video metric reflect the median number of views on all videos in a given period excluding videos posted less than 7d ago.

What does the median represent?

The median is the middle point in a dataset — half of the data points are smaller than the median and half of the data points are larger. The basic advantage of the median in describing the number of views per video compared to the "average" is that it is not skewed so much by a small proportion of extremely large or small values, and so it may give a better idea of a "typical" number of views per video.
